    Straps could be WAY shorter

    I'm not sure what their intended target was to mount the uni-base to, but the straps are long enough to be wrapped around small trees, biceps, thigh mount? ... I can't think of a single bicycle frame tube that would be that large in diameter to accommodate such long straps. Fidlock should either send it out with shorter straps, or make strap length an option when selecting the uni base. Yes... they can be cut to length if desired but you then lose the pull tab at the end.

    works as intended

    I’m using a uni connector to hold a Sonos Roam portable speaker, and this mount works perfectly to hold it in place on bumpy city roads. The straps and base are grippy and hold surprisingly well!

    Perfect after tweaking

    The cage piece is great but the straps are not very good. The straps that come with this are unsightly and not very secure so my bottle would move a bit on every ride. I found some new straps online (nano straps by Voile) that made this perfect - looks clean and is now very secure.
