The bottle shape and function is perfect except for the play between the bottle and the twist adapter. The bottle wobbles around on the adapter so much that I can hear it flopping and rattling on the trail. I’ve examined and reinstalled the adapter several times to ensure proper application. It’s just not a tight fit.
One of the best bottles I have use. It stays lock without coming loose through trails that are technical and chunky
Greetings :) I wanted to wait for a year before submitting my full review. With 100+ enduro rides using my 650ml bottle, I was impressed the bottle has never fallen out once when flying down very rugged trails. I’m no longer skeptical of the mounting design. This cageless technology not only offers you an option to install bottles in tight spaces, it also gives your bike a clean slick look. I do want to mention this works better for bottles mounted higher on the bike’s downtube or toptube. Mine is mounted low on the downtube… when you are pedaling hard, snapping the bottle back on its mount can be a challenge. I find myself having to look down which can be dangerous when riding. It is easier to slide a bottle down a standard cage holder. When you do drop the bottle because it did not snap on, you will find yourself cursing having to stop and go back to pick up the bottle. It is what it is and I’m sticking with it for the slick look and design :)
Fit my frame perfectly pretty sure it rattles a bit but nowni can carry 3 water bottles and a hydration pack on big days
I was excited to mount this vacuum system on my fat tire bike. I finally figured out how to install it. The second time going out for a ride, I had to come to an abrupt stop and my iPhone flies off the mount. I didn’t fall off my bike, nor was it anything major to warrant the phone coming detached from the mount. Now I’m a little nervous about riding with my phone mounted.
This bottle and attachement systems is awesome. Great for frames with limited space and use of traditional bottle cages. I love mine.
Wasn’t sure what to expect but pleasantly surprised once I had them on the bike and in use. I didn’t want to write the review until I had a chance to really test them out on some decent terrain. Have to say they held on strong on a 40 mph decent on a rough gravel road. Knew I must have lost one after that however nope still there staring at me pleading to drink!
I will be ordering another set for my road bike, just too good not too, appreciate the efforts and design!
I ordered a new bottle and the cap was faulty they sent me a new one immediately great customer service great product
Great idea making a thermo sleeve. I bought one for each of my bottles (3). It fits great and keeps my drink cool. I have yet to use it on a 100* day.
I hope to see one made for the 800. I use the 600 for now, it's a little small but it still works. Thanks for making a great product.
I just purchased a Fidlock twist 450 cage set from a local bike shop for my Trek e-bike. The screws that came with the product are too long and therefore won’t fully tighten to secure the base. I love the functionality of the product. Are shorter screws available?
Like how it looks on the bike, no cage makes a big difference. Easy to install bolt-on magnetic base. Takes a little while to get used to putting the bottle away while riding. Strong magnets keep the bottle stable on gravel, no rattling at all. The bottle itself is a little hard to clean because of the built in magnets but nothing a cleaning tablet can't handle. Overall I really recommend the product.
The Twist 800 and base are excellent products - very high quality. I really like the clean look on the bike. Removal of the bottle while riding is easy - not too different from removing a bottle from a cage. Returning the bottle to its base is quite different though and it took some time to do it smoothly and without looking down so expect a transition period with that. All is good now though and I am very happy with this product.

The uni connector is great to allow you to hold bottles of any size. The boa method works well. One thing to note is it is a bit large so keep mind of clearance if you are working with a narrower space.
The bottle is great and it's an amazing system!!! It just needs to be insulated or your drink is hot in a very short time.
This is a subsequent edit to my original review. Turns out I got a lemon so the good chaps at Fidlock have made it right. I tested the other unit I had and it works well.
This product exceeded my expectations. It's incredibly stable, easy to install, and performs exactly as described. After struggling to find a quality option, I gave this one a try—and it worked flawlessly.
I got this and the 800ml version. I really like them. They have a clean look without the traditional bottle cage. The bottles themselves don't leak and the hinged cap keeps the nozzle clean. They don't fall off; while I ride mostly gravel and moderate MTB trails, I did hit a bump hard enough today to rattle my brain but the bottles stayed on. They are easy to remove. I'm experiencing a bit of a learning curve to reattach them while riding; some of which is old age related, so you young people should do just fine.
