There's no better feeling than being alone in the mountains. Just you, your bike, your thoughts, and a whole lot of wildlife. While most wildlife is easily scared off by the sound of a fast-approaching cyclist, that's not always the case. Recently a Mountain Biker was attacked by a Grizzly Bear near Big Sky, Montana. In 2018 a cyclist was killed, and another injured by a Mountain Lion in Washington State. While these cases are extremely rare, protecting yourself while recreating in their habitat is always a good idea.
